Quality Resources

The regiment owns extensive equipment to facilitate the shows that we put on whether that be in our ability to field three cannons (all based in Scotland) or our extensive living history encampment; numerous tents and assorted bits, all of which is owned by the regiment and not individuals, we can therefore guarantee their presence at an event regardless of which members can make it along.  That said each of our members, priding in their appearance personally own quality and well researched 'costume' for the period being depicted. However, the highest quality resource we can offer a sponsor/event organiser is the extensive knowledge of the re-enactors present, time and time again that is where the visitors/audience feedback the biggest appreciation.

Now in addition to all this, The Earl of Loudoun's Regiment is part of the UK wide English Civil War Society. The society is made up of several regiments which have an endless knowledge base on the subject. Depending on the needs of the event this source can supply several regiments, multiple cannon and even cavalry to an event.

Though the regiment primarily portray's the turbulent times of the 1640s and 1650s, we can and do stretch our repetoire to later 17th century conflicts. We annually travel to Carrickfergus to play the beseiged garrison of the Castle in 1689.

Because of the size of our society we attract much greater scrutiny by the Heath and safety Commission and the Police. We therefore we have very stringent safety rules and always have our own Public Liability Insurance in place for all our events, we take no unnecessary risks.  Details of our insurance can be provided on request.
